Tutoring Ministry
First Church is in close proximity to two elementary schools and one middle school. Every Tuesday and Thursday during the school year, volunteers spend time with students from each of these schools, helping with homewark and building skills for classwork and tests. We work closely with the schools to help students in specific areas of need as well as general skills and knowledge. Students receive care, instruction, supervision and a light snack.To volunteer to be a tutor, or if you have a child who wishes to participate, contact Connie Mechem at our church office, 667-0876.
